How Atorlip Works?
Atorlip Generic Lipitor works by blocking an enzyme in the liver that is used by your body to make cholesterol. The result is lower levels of circulating cholesterol and reduced risk of hardening of the arteries and plaque accumulation in blood vessel walls. Generic Lipitor is used for those who have abnormally high cholesterol levels. When taken together with a low-fat diet, this medicine can effectively reduce LDL.There are different types of cholesterol. LDL is the 'bad' cholesterol that can block your blood vessels. HDL cholesterol is the 'good' cholesterol that is thought to remove the bad cholesterol from the blood vessels.Atorlip Generic Lipitor does not reduce the cholesterol that comes from fat in food. Therefore, when you are taking Generic Lipitor, you also need to follow a low fat diet and other measures, such as exercise and weight control.Atorlip reduces total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and apo B in patients with homozygous and heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, non familial forms of hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemias.
How Atorlip taken?
The recommended starting dose of Atorlip is 10 mg daily. The Atorlip dosage range is 10 to 80 mg once daily. Atorlip can be administered as a single dose at any time of the day with or without food. Atorlip should be used as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering treatments (eg LDL apheresis).The amount or how often Atorlip is taken should never be changed without
consulting your healthcare professional.
What are the Atorlip side-effects?
The Atorlip side-effects are usually mild and don't last longer than a few hours. These are as follows

Myalgia

Asthenia
unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness.
Warning And Precautions
Atorlip is strictly taken under doctor's supervision.
Do not take Atorlip after a high-fat meal.
Let your doctor know your medical history before taking Atorlip medication.
Those with active liver disease or possible liver problems; women who are pregnant, could possibly become pregnant, or are breast-feeding; and people who are allergic to any of the ingredients in Atorlip.
